The Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) Program Manager is responsible for supporting the build, launch and ongoing administration of cultural initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion at EVERFI. The Program Manager ensures that diversity and inclusion is integrated into talent and culture initiatives, programs and processes to achieve EVERFI business objectives, specifically in the areas of developing a representative workforce that values diversity of thought and experience; building an inclusive workplace of belonging, wellness and psychological safety; and developing emerging/effective practices that can support our customers. In this capacity, the Program Manager leads the development and execution of projects for signature initiatives, partners with internal teams to advance policies and processes that support the organization’s DEI strategic priorities, liaises and provides management for the Affinity Groups and other internal committees in support of various culture initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Plan, design and lead the implementation of scalable company-wide diversity and inclusion culture initiatives that aligns with the organization's framework. This includes developing, executing programs and events, including but not limited to cultural/heritage months, community dialogues, keynote speakers
Plan, develop content and secure facilitators for diversity and inclusion training, workshops, meetings and learning experiences
Serve as main point of contact and coordinator for Affinity Groups to ensure their activities support the DEI strategy. This includes but is not limited to planning collaboration meetings, supporting budget requests and assisting with program planning in alignment with the DEI strategic plan and business objectives
Continuously benchmarks diversity and inclusion best practices to ensure effective, efficient processes and assist in positioning the organization as a recognized diversity and inclusion leader in the industry and community
Identify, define and establish metrics in close collaboration with internal stakeholders to measure and report on achievements and progress against the DEI strategy and objectives; prepare overall reporting in easily understood and accessible format
Develop and maintain the internal and external DEI web pages of the organization in collaboration with applicable internal stakeholders and including assets, resources, information about ongoing initiatives, community engagement, affinity group focuses
Assist and support the Communications and Marketing teams with preparing communication reflecting internal initiatives, equitable community engagement initiatives and brand enhancing awards. This includes liaising with stakeholders to identify and create relevant content.
Communicate internal DEI events, initiatives, conferences and disseminate resources in partnership with the Communications and Talent teams
Support the organization’s effort with corporate social responsibility, philanthropy and employee engagement initiatives
Stay abreast of global diversity & inclusion trends and learn new frameworks as they become available
Other job-related duties as assigned
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in liberal arts, behavioral science, organizational management or a related discipline preferred; or an equivalent combination of experience and education
A minimum of five years of programs administration and management experience including 1 year of experience with Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programs or initiatives within a workplace setting
Working knowledge of diversity, equity and inclusion concepts and best practices
Strong written, verbal and visual communications skills
Advanced relationship building and influencing skills
Strong collaboration skills and effective facilitator with ability to motivate others to collaborate
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously
Ability to strategically prioritize and meet deadlines
Ability to think creatively about the use case of initiatives
Analytical skills with the ability to derive findings and develop actionable recommendations
Understanding of, or experience in building and implementing of workplace diversity strategies, preferred
Experience with community building and employee engagement preferred
Experience in a consultant or advisor role preferred
