The Inclusion & Diversity Director of Enablement and Strategy will leverage insightful mechanisms to inform and drive I&D strategic priorities and partnerships. The leader will strategically partner across I&D and the enterprise to enable and accelerate Best Buy’s I&D strategy by leveraging internal & external cultural and other insights ensuring I&D strategy is embedded in everything we do at Best Buy. This leader will play a critical role building and promoting an inclusive culture that elevates engagement and excellence among diverse employee populations while creating equitable experiences.

Accountable for:

Driving I&D strategic priorities across Best Buy

Establishing DEI initiatives roadmap, enablement, and continuous improvement

Creating and managing measurable solutions and processes to evaluate and sustain I&D initiatives – ownership of impact evaluation of I&D strategic initiatives

Leading the enablement of Best Buy’s Inclusion & Diversity practice and ensuring our I&D strategy is embedded into our core business functions & operations

Influencing decision-making at all leadership levels based on internal and external data, insights, diverse population survey results and external trends

Building & driving partnerships to identify, build and govern the process around DEI Surveys, partnerships, round tables, conferences, memberships, etc.

Developing strategic relationships with key business partners to integrate I&D strategy & best practices into our core business functions

The strategy, execution and adoption of I&D priorities and best practices within Best Buy

Leveraging and driving insightful and data-driven decision-making to enable Best Buy’s I&D initiatives through partnerships with key enterprise functions

Functional Skills:

DEI Expert

Proven expertise in diversity, inclusion & equity; subject matter expert and strong knowledge on relevant and industry-standard Diversity and Inclusion best practices, external trends, insights, content, and culture - that would enhance Best Buy’s reputation in relation to our DEI commitment internally and externally

Diversity Insights, Trends & Benchmarking

Demonstrated expertise leading enterprise benchmarking strategy for Inclusion & Diversity practice. Conducting internal and external benchmarking and sharing best practices, insights and trends to enhance I&D practice. Keep abreast of new trends, develop new solutions and strategies to enhance Best Buy’s I&D practice

DEI Enablement

Expertise building DEI practice and identifying growth areas using metrics & research to assess impacts of our programs & initiatives and driving change when needed

Critical Skills:

Initiative management

Organize and structure work efforts, including adapting to changes and incorporating new technologies, to achieve desired results

Coaching

Guide and support individuals and teams in achieving goals using feedback, learning, and leveraging strengths

Business Agility

Work within and across multiple teams to gather critical insights to drive key results & outcomes. Build sustained partnerships by collaborating with key leaders to embed I&D efforts into existing business strategies and operations and be brought to life by leaders across the enterprise

Insights-Driven Decision Making

Use data, insights, internal and external trends to inform decisions and drive strategy; identify areas of growth and sustain based on impact evaluation of programs & initiatives

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in related field or 10 years equivalent education and experience

9 years' of experience in Inclusion & Diversity, Human Resources, Business or related fields

5 years of experience Leading strategic initiatives and growing representation within a business/organization

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to innovate DEI solutions

Any DEI Certification a plus

Established DEI Leadership & Network
