Summary:

**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is looking for a communications manager to assist in leading Diversity and Inclusion Communications for the Corporate Communications team. The ideal candidate will have agency and in-house experience managing a wide range of corporate reputation issues, spanning both proactive and reactive efforts. This person should have a passion for building a more diverse world, as well as storytelling and strategic, data-driven communications. This role will involve managing the needs of both internal and external stakeholders, including media, executives and cross-functional partners. The ideal candidate has strong media relationships across tech, business, and diverse publications, executive communications skills and experience building and executing on longer term creative, proactive communications campaigns.

The ideal candidate has strong media relations skills (with significant experience planning strategic campaigns focused on D&I) and is a strategic and creative thinker. This individual excels at working collaboratively and consistently delivers high-quality work even under severe time constraints and pressure. Experience supporting leaders and subject matter experts in technology and business is ideal, as is the ability to relentlessly source stories and creative ideas.

Required Skills:


Help build and execute integrated communications strategy/plan on **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.'s diversity efforts
Manage daily incoming media inquiries relating to DEI efforts
Advise stakeholders on external and internal communications related to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Have awareness of and carefully assess all philanthropic and programmatic initiatives aimed at diverse communities
Generate and implement creative, proactive ideas and media opportunities for how the company shows up publicly
Develop, build relationships with key media (including consumer/product, tech, broadcast, and policy), and be able to represent and defend executive’s thinking and reputation with reporters and manage responses for complex news stories
Work cross-functionally with Communications, Policy, HR, Product and Marketing teams to develop and execute impactful DEI programs and campaigns
Develop strategies to track, monitor and communicate high-impact issues affecting the business


Minimum Qualifications:


7 years of professional experience in communications or public relations
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English or related field
Experience working with diverse communities including experience within strategic diversity communications planning
Experience working cross-functionally, including with policy, HR, product, legal and marketing teams including experience working with and creating and editing for executives
Crisis communications and reactive messaging experience


Preferred Qualifications:


Experience sourcing stories and creative ideas
Experience writing social media copy including content creation and strategy
Polished organizational skills and knows how to prioritize work
Executive Communications experience
